At the core
the Truth
is far more simple
than the complex,
overextended exterior
we lead ourselves to believe.

We
are a nation of animals...

seeking elation
through the instant gratification
of solicited forniction
and finding salvation
through the elaboration
of mouthed out myths;

driven
by seedy needs;
hungry for lust;
misplacing our trust;
thinking ego's justifiable
as long as no one realises we're liable
for so many veiled misdeeds.

We
are a question
with only one answer;
death's double-edged enhancer;
the world's terminal cancer;
hot-blooded demise
basking in lies;
trying to realise
unnatainable dreams
by naming ourselves
unnameable gods

but the truth is...

we
are no better
than the dogs
pissing on the pole
at the corner of the street.
